Personal Care Attendant

We are looking for Personal Care Attendants willing to work as part of our Holiday Relief/Casual Bank of Personal Care Attendants across all shifts.

Successful candidates will have:

  • Either a Certificate 3 or 4 in Aged Care or similar qualification
  • Knowledge of the aged care industry, regulations and funding would be highly regarded, but not essential
  • Empathy towards the needs of the frail aged (dementia care included) is essential along with your passion for delivering high quality care
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

Leisure & Lifestyle Officer

We are looking for a Leisure & Lifestyle Officer to encourage and support residents to participate in a wide range of interests and activities in line with their individual needs and care plans.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare support activities according to the resident’s care plan, preferences and organisation policies, protocols and procedures;
  • Work with the resident to identify strategies and opportunities that maximise engagement and promote healthy lifestyle practices;
  • Promote and facilitate opportunities for participation in activities that reflect the resident’s individual physical, social, cultural and spiritual needs;
  • Contribute to developing timetables that provide structure and flexibility;
  • Organise activities for people living with dementia and other complex needs, which aim to maintain independence; and
  • Develop and implement strategies to deal with challenging behaviours.

You will have:

  • Certificate IV Leisure and Health, or equivalent;
  • Current First Aid Certificate Level 2;
  • Ability and commitment to work as part of a team;
  • Initiative and ability to work without supervision; and
  • Previous experience in Aged Care (desirable).
